Minecraft Versions

There are many different versions and APIs, each with its own particularities: it will not allow you the same changes and can have a significant impact on performance, varying from version/API to version. Plugin & Mod

Arclight

Arclight is a Minecraft Bukkit version embedding Forge API to mix mods/plugins. Recommended for running plugins together with Forge mods.

AtomMC

Atom is a Minecraft server core created by AtomicInteger which is based on MinecraftForge and CraftBukkit for 1.12.2 version of Minecraft.

Cauldron

Cauldron was a modified server project for Minecraft that combined the features of Bukkit (a modified server API for Minecraft) and Forge (a modding platform for Minecraft).

KCauldron

KCauldron was a modified version of the Minecraft server that combined the features of Cauldron and KCauldron, two other modified server projects for Minecraft.

Magma

Magma is an Minecraft Forge Hybrid server implementing the Spigot/Bukkit API (Cauldron for 1.12). Prefer Mohist which has better performances.

MCPC+

MCPC+ is the old name/version of Cauldron, a type of server formerly known as MCPC plus.

Mohist

Mohist is a Minecraft Forge Hybrid server implementing the Paper/Spigot/Bukkit API. Recommended for running plugins together with Forge mods.

SpongeForge

SpongeForge is a mod for the game Minecraft that integrates the Sponge modding engine with Forge, another popular modding tool for Minecraft. SpongeForge combines the features of Sponge with the infrastructure of Forge, providing a powerful platform for developing mods and managing Minecraft servers.

Thermos

Thermos is a server version for the minecraft game, developed on the 1.7.10 branch of the game. He is the successor of kcauldron.

Plugin

Bukkit

The Bukkit project is old and obsolete. Prefer rather than using paper, compatible with Bukkit plugins and offering better performance.

Paper

Paper is a derivative of Spigot, which itself is a derivative of Bukkit, both of which are server software for the game Minecraft. Paper brings improved performance and new features compared to Spigot and Bukkit.

Purpur

Purpur is a drop-in replacement for Paper servers designed for configurability, new fun and exciting gameplay features, and high performance built on top of Tuinity and Airplane.

Spigot

Spigot is compatible with Bukkit and Spigot plugins. Choose Paper anyway, which ensures the same compatibility while having better performance.

SpongeVanilla

SpongeVanilla is an implementation of SpongeAPI that is created by patching the vanilla Minecraft server.

Mod

Fabric

Fabric (also known as FabricMC) for the latest versions of Minecraft is an API for Minecraft and a lightweight modloader that allows you to create high-performance servers while using mods for the recent versions of Minecraft.

Forge

Forge is a modding platform for the game Minecraft. It provides players with the ability to install and manage mods (modifications) that add to or modify the original game content.

NeoForge

NeoForge is a modding platform for the game Minecraft, forked from Forge project. It provides players with the ability to install and manage mods (modifications) that add to or modify the original game content.

Vanilla
